Building Software-as-an-Experience ( Saax) Digital Platform

The Code Is the Easy Part

It usually goes like this: Someone stands up and rattles off a wishlist of features — “We need a dashboard. We need to automate some processes. It has to be fault-tolerant and elastic.”

For 20 years, I was the guy who nodded and said, I can build that"

And I did. I was obsessed with the craft.

I lived in the code. At my first company, eSofties, I personally wrote 90% of the software for our flagship government ERP. I partnered with FICO to bring the first credit scoring system to Nigeria. I spent decades designing highly scalable, distributed infrastructures that could withstand anything.

I thought if the code was perfect, the problem was solved.

I was wrong.

You see, I realized that building the "perfect" application is a trap. You can have the most robust, cloud-native architecture in the world, but if it doesn't empower the human being sitting behind the screen, it’s just expensive typing.

My "Aha!" Moment

I realized that most software fails because it’s antisocial.

It creates a Fragmentation Tax by isolating data, and it reinforces the Single-Player Trap by isolating the business from its market. We were building tools for a solo game, but business is a multiplayer sport involving clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

To fix this, they didn't need another rigid application. They needed an open, participative environment—a place where they could avoid the tax, escape the trap, and build their own connections.

That shifted everything. So , in 2019 I moved to the UK to build Ziphii.

I stopped asking, "How do I code this solution for you?" and started asking, "How do I build a platform so intuitive that you can solve it yourself?"

Here is what happens when you answer that question:

  • Teams can build their own workflows instantly using no-code tools, bypassing the engineering bottleneck
  • Break the Single-Player Trap by inviting customers and suppliers directly into the system
  • Abolish the Fragmentation Tax by centralizing scattered data into one single source of reality.
  • Scale Trust, Not Just Servers: Move beyond transactions to relationships by giving every stakeholder total visibility and control.
  • Build for "Next," Not Just "Now": Rigid apps break when markets change; a flexible platform adapts as fast as your ambition does

Building the Systems That Empower Human Potential

I see leadership as creating lasting conditions for people to excel—designing clear systems (roles, rhythms, decisions) that cut friction and build trust, coaching individuals deliberately.

Leading with systems, culture, and quiet conviction

I start with people—their connections, decisions, and value creation—rather than technology. For me, platform thinking means seeing the full human system.

Platform thinking as a deeply human practice
